I am officially booked for the rest of the year (except for newborn sessions). It’s getting crazy to where I’m getting behind and stressing! I do have a waiting list that I can put people on in case any openings come up. I also have to start cutting back on some things and the blog will have to be the first one. I’ll still be posting sneak peeks but can’t put up as many pictures from each session.

Here is the “G” family. Absolutely adorable kids! Their oldest is 4 and the younger ones are 2. Thanks for meeting up with me…and for waiting on your sneak peek:)

I got to meet up with some of my most favorite little girls for some one-year-old pictures and some sister pictures. Mom always has a large wardrobe of possibilities for photo outfits. It’s always fun to go through them and decide on which ones to use. Oh, and can’t forget the shoes that are always amazing too! I hope these girls slow down in the growing department. It seems like I just met Miss K. who was 3 at the time and now she’s in school! Sorry to keep you waiting….hope you enjoy:)

Here’s the first senior of 2012. We wanted to incorporate her love of FFA so we started at the Ag barn where her animals stay. She raises pigs but the cows in the pasture decided they wanted to be in some of the pictures! Thanks for letting me capture you in your senior year…hope you enjoy your sneak peek:)

After 20 months the new Studio Bloom website has been launched! Shameful, isn’t it?? I actually bought it in December of 2009 and would work on it a little and then months would go by before I would touch it again. Everything on the old site was so outdated but the funny thing is that it took me so long to finish the new one that some of the things that were loaded when I first bought it are outdated!

There are a few changes of policies and pricing. I always wondered why most photographers did things a certain way and over time I’ve learned that they do these things to run a great, successful business.
One of the changes that was made is the newborn session fee. Newborn sessions are one of my absolute favorite types of sessions but with time I’ve found that the newborns require quite a bit more time. Not only for the actual session but in post-processing work. It’s such a precious and fleeting time that I’m documenting and I want to make sure that I get the pictures and that they look great. Don’t worry, if you’ve already notified me about your upcoming newborn you are locked in at the old session price.

Next, I need to get more serious about ordering time. The online gallery of proofs will now be up for 5 weeks before it’s taken down. When researching the timeline that most photographers give for ordering I found that they limit it to a small amount of time. I think that if there isn’t a cut-off in the near future then people (myself included) tend to procrastinate or forget. Going into my family session that I did with another photographer we had 7 days to place an order. Since I knew that I took care of it within the first couple of days. She reiterated that it helps things run more smoothly and I can understand that now. Once the gallery expires there will be a $25 fee to have it put up again.

I’m so excited because Studio Bloom Photography is now offering frames. They are gorgeous!! They come in a zillion colors and shapes. You can check out some samples in the “Products” gallery.

There’s a “Products” gallery and I hope that it helps people visualize the options better. I’ll be adding more pictures of products as they come in.

There are a few minor things that I still have to do but I’ve procrastinated long enough and it’s good to go:)

And here’s my crazy, about-to-be-a-1st grader tomorrow! Here he’s just chilling….not normal behavior for him. While in Florida he sweetly asked me if I wanted to go up and sit with him on the 3rd floor balcony. How could I refuse that?!

Littlest Miss had me laughing…a lot. She has a ton of personality and there was no making/bribing/pleading with her to sit still or pose. Her older sisters are such great sports and did whatever was necessary for everyone to be in some shots together. They were stacked…they had to run…and run and run…they played Ring Around the Rosie…and the list goes on. It was extremely hot and I’m proud of them for sticking it out. Great job girls!!

One of my regular families that I adore. Mom had scheduled the shoot months and months in advance….we’re in a drought….I can probably count on one hand the number of times that it’s rained this year…and wouldn’t you know that it started raining on this day. Being bound and determined to make it happen since a lot of the family was there and they were hoping for a group shot I headed there in the pouring rain. I hoped that by some miracle it would stop (just for a little while please) or give a break to grab some pics. We started in some sprinkles. The family were so sweet posing in the drizzle:) After just a bit it stopped enough that I didn’t even have to hold an umbrella over my camera…Yea!!

I think I’ve mentioned it before but their mom has such a laid back parenting approach that I’m always in awe of. The girls are free spirited and run and have fun the entire time. And boy do they run! Especially Ms. M. I always have over half of the pictures of her in a full run coming towards me…and that’s when I get the best smiles of her. Little sister is a little more reserved but eventually she jumps in to run too.

I enjoyed seeing you guys. Hope your vacation and birthday party were wonderful:)!

I think this is where I had to put a shoe on my head to get a good laugh. Hey, it worked!

Sweet baby girl that was pretty tiny but had the longest fingers and feet! She was the last newborn session last week and we couldn’t have ended on a better note. She slept really, really good, let me move her over and over, and gave a few smiles. Mom wasn’t planning on getting in any pictures but I’m so glad we talked her into it because mom, dad and Ms. K all look beautiful together.

I just love wrinkles and fuzz!!

Miss A has such a sweet personality. She put up with posing on her tummy a lot and the terrible heat like a little pro. Her big brother was also talked/tricked/coerced into some pictures and then he was able to move on to something much funner with grandma. He went and played in the water and got a snow cone! It was fun seeing you guys and seeing how the kids are growing. Hope you enjoy your peek:)

I feel like I’m watching these kids grow before my eyes. I see them several times a year and each time they look so much older. Their youngest daughter is apparently a little fish because she went right out in the water in her pretty pink dress and plopped down. She would lay, splash around, and run through the water without a thought about not being in a swimsuit. Hope y’all had an amazing time at the beach:)
