Month: March 2011

  • Absolutely…

no fun was had on this session at all. Can you tell? It started with meeting up with this great family and having their little girl run up and give me a hug. We had never even met and she had me at hello:) Then we proceeded to be silly and have fun pretty much the entire time. She was adorable and loves life. Mom is a teacher at the elementary school that my 2 younger ones go to. I love working with teachers or other professionals outside of their profession. You get to see them in a whole different light than how you “know” them. It was great meeting you guys and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

  • Cassidy’s 9th Birthday Pics

Poor Cassidy. She’s the middle child and she has a birthday right after Christmas and New Years. We never, ever have her party on or very near her actual birthday. It’s just always so crazy between the holidays and traveling and them being out of school. So, even though we’re still celebrating her birthday months later this year we wanted to make it special. She decided what she wanted to do and also mentioned that she wanted to do a photo shoot and make invitations with one of the pictures. This I could do. So, we curled her hair, picked out some funky clothing and ventured out. Everyone went so I was able to get pictures of all the kids (I’ll have to post those later) so that in itself was a huge accomplishment!

And here’s the birthday invite we came up with. It’s the front and back with the personal info blurred out.

  • Little Cowboy and His Cousins

Growing up I always wished that I had more cousins my age. I was born later for my parents…my sister and brother were already teenagers and most of my cousins were their age also. So, when I met up with Mr. K and his cousins I couldn’t help but feel excited for them. They’re all under six and live pretty close to each other.

Mr. K took a huge liking to the little green chair and once he did then he didn’t want any pictures without it (as you can see below…even in the group pic). He had been so good for his newborn shoot and then the one before Christmas and I was hoping that he was just as agreeable and happy for this one. And he was! His smile lights up his eyes and makes him the perfect little model. It was a pleasure seeing you again Mr. K and thanks for bringing your cousins along:)

  • Miss E

I knew that Miss E and I would get along perfectly as soon as I found out she was born on my birthday:) She put up a little fuss in the beginning but then settled into a good sleep. Her skin was so perfect for a newborn! Such a gorgeous baby girl!!

  • Happy 1st Birthday…

to my adorable niece. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since we were doing her newborn pictures. It flew by!! We love you sweet girl!!

  • Three-Year-Old Friends

These three have been friends since birth because their moms met in an online expectant moms group. It was really neat to hear the story of how the group has all stayed close. They do playdates, go to each others birthday parties, and some even travel from out of state to visit with their friends. When I met up with them for the photo session one of the little girls had just turned 3, it was the little boys actual 3rd birthday and the other little girl would turn 3 the next week…all born within weeks of each other.

It took a little while for them to warm up but eventually they did. Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek:)

There was quite a lot of funny bootie talk going on with this picture!

  • Birthday Boys

These cute boys share the same birthday month so we knocked out some one-year-old pictures and some 3-year pictures for Mr. Speedy and his lil’ brother. When I did Mr. K’s one-year pics I dubbed him Mr. Speedy because he’s one of the fastest little clients I’ve had to chase after. And even though I’m relieved to say his little brother isn’t as speedy he sure is busy! The highlight of the evening was digging into their cake together!

  • Lashes

Very sweet baby girl that had the longest lashes I’ve ever seen on a newborn. Instead of her lashes growing in she’s going to have to grow into her lashes:) It was great to see this family again. The last time I saw them her big brother he was as bald as could be and now look at that stylish head of hair. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek S Family:)

  • So Darn Cute

Oh man, this little guy is a heartbreaker with his big blue eyes and cool demeanor:) He is just very easy-going and was the perfect little model this day!

  • Mr. and Mrs. to be

I rarely get to do engagement pictures since I don’t shoot weddings but this couple is having their wedding by the water in Rockport and I was honored to do some engagement pictures here. Hope you enjoy your peek:)
