I wish I would have done this when my girls were younger. Not too sure if they’d go for it now:) These 2 had a lot of fun with each other giggling, posing, tickling each other, and dressing up. And if they look familiar it’s because we just did their family shoot outdoors last month. Miss P has to be one of the most photogenic girls ever!

The S Family
Another very, very busy little girl but her cuteness made up for the chasing we did:) She is extremely affectionate and took to Cassidy immediately. So much so that she didn’t want to be away from her for her pictures. I thought we were going to have to have Cassidy in their family pics! Eventually, we had to change locations and have Cassidy hide out so that she forgot about her for awhile.
Big brother was very good and has the cutest smile and sweet disposition.
Thanks S family…we had a blast with you guys. Hope you enjoy the peek:) -
The C Family…
and an invention. When we thought their little girl, Miss A, was all out of smiles Great Grandma came up with a new invention that had us all rolling with laughter (and it worked)!! It was pretty funny because I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on behind me so when I turned around and saw this I just had to get a picture.
What gets big smiles from this little girl?

They’ve Grown Up!
One of the first things that I did when I started my photography biz was to do photo sessions for a local resale shop. The kids in this blog post were some of the very first to do pictures there and then their mom wanted to do a Galveston session and that was the first beach session that I did. Here they are then:
And here they are now:

It was so great to see you guys! The kids were just as sweet playing together this time as they were when they were younger. Hope you enjoy your peek:) -
Windy-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This was hands-down the windiest session I’ve ever done. The wind is always worse at the beach but O.M.G. it was strong. I had already suggested that the females wear their hair pulled back and I’m really glad that they did. The 2 boys that look about the same age are cousins that are 5 months apart. Lucky kids! They couldn’t wait to get to the beach and once there they had a blast running around.

Little Miss Daredevil
Some kids don’t like the feel of grass or weeds touching their legs…not little Miss P. She literally was running herself through tall grass, falling in it, laughing, getting up and doing it again. Quite the adventurous little girl. Isn’t she gorgeous?

Photo shoot and….Birdwatching
Okay I can definitely say that I’m not, nor have I ever been a birdwatcher. Well, while we’re doing this shoot of one of my very favorite families the dad sees what looks like a duck way up in the tree. Hmmmm, I didn’t know ducks sat up in large oak trees but, whatever;) Skip ahead a few minutes and low and behold another duck-like bird is up in the trees. Now we can see that the beak is long and thin…so no duck. After hearing and seeing what we thought were a couple of birds we saw people walking through this area looking and pointing up in the trees. Once we started looking around there were dozens of birds and huge nests up in all of the trees. They were everywhere…and big…with huge nests. I was so mad that I didn’t have a good zoom with me so I caught a couple of shots with what I had. We were baffled as to what type of birds these were. Mackenzie spotted some that almost looked like penguins sitting up there. So, I come home that night and look at the pics of these birds. By this time I’m bound and determined to put a name to the types of birds that these are. I mean where do you go from these clues…duck-like, penguin-ish, large, long beaks and nests high in trees. Oh and let me add that with big birds comes big poop as I discovered ALL OVER the top of my vehicle! Those dang birds kept me up until at least 2:00 in the morning. I poured over the Internet trying to figure out what they are. I think I narrowed down the black & white ones but not any of the other ones. Does this now officially make me a birdwatcher?:) The cool thing is that when I zoom in on a few of the pictures one of the birds is flying in towards the nest and you can see 3 baby birds with really long beaks peeking up from the nest towards their momma. Aawwww.
On to one of my favorite families. I can’t believe I first met Miss K when she was turning 3 and now she’s 5. I’m betting that the next time I see her she’ll have lost some teeth. And her baby sister was so sweet with a huge, huge smile. Hope you guys enjoy your peek:)

A & A
These two were so friendly and amazing with each other. I don’t know if they always get along so good but I really think they not only love each other, but they like being together. They were both full of personality and mom melted my heart when she told me that the next day her son had wanted me and Cassidy to go with them for their ice cream treats.

The K Family
Such an adorable family. Mom and I had discussed the challenges going into the shoot. We had to do it during the middle of the day which means bright, bright sunlight. There are also, not one, but two 7-month-old girls. She explained that one of them is very happy and smiles easily. The other one is very pensive…but adorable nonetheless! They drove from across town hoping that the girls would take a nap but they didn’t and then they hit lots of traffic.
We started with some posed shots and I tried just about anything to get smiles but they weren’t happening. We tried a couple of different set-ups and after just about giving up they started having some playful interaction and that turned things around. They are my faves! I really hope you guys love your peek.
