  • Katy, Tx family shoot

I love doing photo shoots where they live because they have some great spots just around the corner from their home (I’ve done some of their neighbor’s pics before). They were great to work with and we even got to add their 2 dogs into some of the poses. Sorry again for the lateness on the blog sneak peek…hope you enjoy:)

  • Family Shoot at Sam Houston Park

I had only been to this location once before and remembered that finding a parking spot might be an issue. There are one-way streets all around and if you get caught on one of them without finding a parking spot you have to go quite a ways to turn back around (don’t ask me how I know this:)) Anyways, we were lucky and found a parking spot the first time. It was a really pretty evening although pretty darn hot! The thing I really enjoy about a large family is seeing how they interact together. You know, there’s always some joking around, sarcasm and silliness…chasing kids and bribery. It’s exactly how it was when my own family did large group pictures last October.

Hope you guys enjoy your peek. Sorry that it took so long!

  • 9 Months

and she’s walking. Not just unsteady steps but like when you put her down she is off! She is so adorable though with her little bottom teeth shining bright every time she smiles.

On a personal note my mom has been put in the hospital twice since last Thursday and is there now. I’ve had a lot of hours there and am quickly falling behind on everything. I’m trying to not have to cancel any sessions but I may be a little behind on sneak peeks and proofs. This is when I really wished that I worked off of a laptop. Personally, I don’t like the feel of working on them but oh the work I could have done if I would have had a laptop with me. I hope everyone understands and please know that I haven’t forgotten your pics.

  • Beach 2010

Parents, grandparents, and 4 kiddos for this beach session. They found a great new neighborhood on the beach for this session and I loved it. When the grandparents arrived first they were surprised to find a sandcastle-building contest going on with tons of people on the beach (oh no!) but by the time that we met up for the session they had cleared out (great news for us!).

  • Family of 3 and 1-more-to-be

This session has to be the hottest, stickiest sauna-like session so far this year!! If only there had been a breeze of some kind! They have another little one on the way and mom looks fabulous.

    Hope you enjoy your peek:)

  • Beautiful Girls

Such sweet and well-mannered little girls. Their youngest was pretty spunky and ready to be on the go…but who can blame her! So adorable. They brought their dog along as well for a few of the pictures and she’s a girl too. Poor dad is really outnumbered!

Thanks for meeting with me L family. I had a ton of fun with you and your precious girls!

  • Family Session of 4

Another one of the families that had to be re-scheduled a zillion times because of weather issues….so glad we finally were able to meet up without rain! They are Saints fans and dressed for the occasion. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek:)

  • Sweet Baby M

LOVE that I’ve been a part of seeing this family grow from two, to three, to now four. It seems like I just did their maternity pictures from their first daughter….how time flies! Their older daughter was seriously cracking me up. She’s in the “no” phase. Would you like to sit here? No. Can I hold your sippy cup? No. Can we set the sippy cup on the windowsill? No. Can you hug daddy’s leg? No. Even reverse psychology didn’t work with her. And sometimes she would say no when she obviously meant yes. It was so endearing…I miss those cute little stubborn no’s that only a toddler can give.

Your daughters are absolutely precious! Thanks for spending some time with me for the photo session. Hope you enjoy your peek:)

  • Expectant momma and big-sister-to-be

I thought this mom-to-be looked magnificent! Such a nice family and I loved everything about hanging with them except the heat! I had 2 sessions back-to-back this day in the am but afterwards said that that would probably be the last mid-day shoot for months! It was hot, hot, hot. And the funniest part of the shoot was when mom and dad would bribe their daughter with an M&M. She would literally take at least 3 or 4 bites of each one. Those things are tiny and to be able to make it last for several bites is pure talent. I can’t even stick to just eating one whole one at a time…it has to be a whole handful.

  • I brought home…

some new props. If you’ve read my blog much you’ll know that I’m completely out of room for more props. AND my husband stresses this ALL.THE.TIME. But, the problem is that I’ve wanted to use these for years and knew that I had this shoot with 2 teen sisters coming up and knew it would be perfect for them. I really need a warehouse…that would solve my room for props problem:) maybe.

These beautiful sisters are older versions of what I envision my girls to be like when they are this age…personality-wise. It’ll be interesting to see if it turns out that way. Anyways, they are super sweet, fun, and highly entertaining (just picture chicken fights atop tires and rolling down hills). I had a blast…hope you guys did too!

I had a really busy weekend as far as shoots but didn’t get any computer work time so if you’re waiting on proofs from me I will be buckling down the next couple of days. Thanks for hanging in there with me:):):)

I totally made her do this shot. Thanks for humoring me Miss J!

Nothing like a chicken fight while sitting on top of some tires!

And you have to do a peek-though shot.
