  • Wah! I’m tired.

This little one had the best disposition. He was certainly a busy little boy, but super sweet and seemed like he had the best temperment. Just “chilled” and mostly happy. Between all of the adults around him we were able to keep him fairly contained from traveling too far (which of course he would have liked to go) and we tried to keep him occupied.

On the business end, I’m still trying to bust my bootie and catch up. I had finally caught up on some blog posts, but then that only lasted that day and now I’m behind again:( It’s not because I’m not trying. I stay up way past anyone else in this house, usually get up and work before most of the people are up in the house, and try and work, work, work throughout the day. There are 2 days during the week where I get 5 hours kid-free time, and I have yet to do anything other than dr’s appointments and work. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s not because I’m lazy or not trying…I promise I am. I hate that it’s taking me way longer than normal! Please understand! Ok, I know I’m whining now, but I’m tired and cranky and need to go to bed.

I hope everyone has a great weekend:)

  • Meet Miss Penelope…

who has the happiest name on earth. I just think that it’s such a pleasant name and I get a huge smile when I hear it. We did her pictures in her room and I LOVE the way that it is decorated. It’s totally pink, frilly, and pure girl. The picture that is in the background on a lot of these shots is just the coolest. I’m trying to see if I can get my hands on one! I love the 2 little birds and the way her name makes up the leaves. Miss P was really good for these and we were even able to get a few with her big brother. Hope you enjoy guys!

  • Another little sweetpea

I know, I know…another little one. They are coming out of the woodwork from every which way! At least I’m getting my newborn fix. She was soooo sweet. Mom had seen the bird’s nest idea somewhere before and wanted to recreate it, so we did. Little Miss Berlin however was not loving her little nest. How can you blame her though with the prickly sticks poking at her feet every time she stretched. At least we caught a few before we had to move on. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

  • The sweetest family

This was the nicest family and their 3 boys were very well behaved. My son has always had more energy and been a bit more of a handful than my girls so I automatically assumed that if you added a couple of more boys to the one that it would be purely chaotic, but it definitely wasn’t with this group. I’m sorry that it took a while to get your sneak peek up…hope you enjoy:)

  • Another Hot-Momma-To-Be

I’m not sure what was going on, oh say, 8 months ago, 9 months ago, 10 months ago, ahem….But there’s been an explosion of maternity clients and precious newborns lately.

I know I’ve mentioned it before on here, but newborns are one of my faves to take pictures of. On a maternity shoot recently(not this one) we were talking about the newborn pictures and I mentioned that I couldn’t wait until their baby was born because newborns are my favorites. I said, “Well, newborns and seniors.” The husband (who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are! Wink, Wink) started to laugh. So, I tried to explain that I just love the newborn stage and that seniors for the most part just want to look good and are so cooperative. He started to look confused and said “Really? They just want to look good?” and something along the lines of “Do you really get that many seniors that want to come and take pictures?”
At about the same time his wife and I realized that in his mind he was thinking the geriatric type of senior and we all busted out laughing.

Ok, and now that I’ve embarrassed him I’ll embarrass myself. We went out to eat with some friends of ours a couple of weeks ago and during the conversation she asked “Have you ever seen my cousin Vinny?” and I responded with “Lisa, when would I have had the chance to meet your cousin Vinny? I’ve barely met your mom and dad.” By this time the entire table is laughing and I stupidly said “There’s a movie named that, isn’t there?” Ummmm yeah, and that’s what she was referring to. So for those of you who are familiar with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour: Here’s your sign!

  • Keith & Emily

They had been planning this day for a long time…and who knew that Hurricane Ike would hit the weekend before? The wedding was still on but there were a few reminders of the powerful storm. First, the church was still without power. They had a generator with a window unit for the bride’s room but the actual church sanctuary was pretty warm. Houston also still had a midnight curfew in effect. The reception venue did have electricity and everyone seemed to forget the heat outside once the partying began. I think that this is one wedding that won’t be easily forgotten. Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your memorable day. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Doesn’t she look like a princess here? Gorgeous side profile.

  • Cutest.Pregnant.Person.Ever

Without trying to sound bitter…I never in the heck looked remotely like that when I was pregnant! Not even close. My body chose to “spread” instead of stay it’s normal size with a small swell in the stomach area. Maybe if I had looked like this I would have enjoyed being pregnant better. She is adorable!

This was one of those photo shoots that you just can’t wait to jump on your computer, load the pictures, and see what you got. They were game for anything, had loads of cool ideas, and helped me move furniture when needed:) Thanks guys for your willing and helpful spirit! Hope you enjoy!

On another note, I’m still trying to play catch up. I’m now running about a month behind instead of 6 weeks behind so I’ve made up a little time. Thanks for being so patient with me.

Once a get a little free time I have some personal things I’d like to post about…someday, someday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • Another Precious Newborn

This little guy was sweet as can be. He did great indoors and amazing outdoors. I think he could have soaked up the sun all day.

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Why do I get the feeling that he didn’t like me? (Not the best picture but it was too funny not to share)
